Tre Kronor af Stockholm

The brig Tre Kronor af Stockholm, one of Sweden's most beautiful ships, is now being sold by the bankruptcy administrator after the bankruptcy of the owning company in September 2023.

Tre Kronor af Stockholm was built between 1997 and 2008 on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. The launching took place on August 27, 2005, and Tre Kronor of Stockholm was subsequently christened by her godmother HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

The hull is entirely built of oak while the deck has been laid with quarter-sawn Siberian larch. Approximately 550 m3 of oak has been used, equivalent to about 1000 oak trees, and approximately 800 meters of larch for the deck and deckhouse. The joining of the hull sections has been done with over 5000 galvanized bolts and approximately 27,000 hand-forged oak ship spikes. Craftsmanship beyond the ordinary.

The total sail area is 735 m2 on 2 masts. 10 square sails, 3 foresails, and a gaff sail. In the modern engine room, a Scania DI12 is found. Passenger certificates apply for 74/58 passengers in the E and C/D areas, respectively.

There are a total of 29 sleeping berths in 8 cabins, including 13 for the officers and crew. Large salon for 45 seated, bar, and conference equipment. There is extensive documentation about the ship and its construction, not all of which is available on the website. Under "certificates and documents," we have collected the most important, and this part may be updated.

Tre Kronor af Stockholm can be inspected on Kastellholmen in Stockholm by appointment.
